  • Providing guidance regarding recent market & economic events and putting into perspective how these events pertain to your future financial security
  • Allocating investment portfolios according to: investment goals, risk tolerance, time horizon, & dollars available
  • Helping you consolidate and simplify your investment accounts
  • Protecting assets from risks due to disability or premature death
  • Reviewing your existing insurance policies and estate plan
  • Helping with accumulating and protecting wealth
  • Saving for a special purpose such as a major purchase or college funding for a child or grandchild

    • Providing assistance with your annual Required Minimum Distribution
    • Partnering with your tax advisor to help streamline your finances

We seek to organize your financial position by defining, prioritizing & devising realistic goals. We can help you with planning for short-term goals (e.g. home remodeling, traveling, or saving for major purchases) as well as long-term goals (e.g. college planning, saving for retirement). Our clients are encouraged to use us as a sounding board; we are your first resource to call upon when issues arise that impact your financial situation. You may be considering a career change, home refinance, the cost benefits of installing solar panels on your home, or you may just want some clarification about your employee benefits or retirement plan. We care about your personal and financial well-being; we'll take the time to find out what matters to you, research your options, and define solutions. Your plan is dynamic, and we'll continually review it together over the years.

What makes your client experience unique?

Balance, Capacity & Continuity are concepts that are central to the vision of our practice. We encourage our clients to embrace balance in their lives. This may mean spending more time with friends and family, taking up a new hobby, or simply relaxing with a glass of wine. We want you to live longer, and we want you to reap the benefits of your hard work. To achieve this balance, we believe it is crucial to maximize your capacity; by optimizing your time & resources you’ll have increased opportunities to do the things you want to be doing. Finally, maintaining a long-term focus and reevaluating your financial plan on a regular basis ensures the continuity of your resources – for your lifetime or for your family’s.

  • Retirees: We help you to manage your retirement assets and, through the use of automated bank transfers, we can help you manage withdrawals from your accounts with us. For IRA accounts, we can set up federal and state tax withholding on distributions and help ensure that you have taken your IRS mandated Required Minimum Distribution each year. We also offer advice regarding additional withdrawals you may wish to take from your accounts with us that may not be accounted for in your financial plan.
  • Pre-Retirees: As we guide you on the path to retirement, we help you to prioritize your financial (and non-financial) goals. You may be advised to adjust your retirement age to account for increased living or travel expenses, and we'll help you plan for necessary costs such as health care expenses in your retirement years. We encourage you to realistically view your long range retirement plan out until at least age 92 and up until age 100, estimating for taxes and inflation, reviewing survivor pension benefits, and analyzing Social Security claiming strategies. Your financial plan is dynamic, and can be adjusted in any number of ways. Prior to committing to a retirement date, we'll review your options and make recommendations - which may include saving more aggressively, reducing debt, or a changing up the investment strategy in your portfolio.

How much contact do you have with your clients?

Upon deciding to work together, you can expect several points of contact as we devise a comprehensive plan that addresses your financial goals. In subsequent years, you can expect at least an annual review of your investment allocation & financial situation. We are always available as needed to provide you with guidance through market fluctuations and changes to your financial circumstances that necessitate our expert advice.

How do you charge for your services?

We are a small, personal touch firm. Our fees are low; our customer service is personable. Our services are geared towards accounts of $500,00 in investable assets or more, however for younger households, a commitment to saving and planning takes precedence over account size. Our first meeting is complementary. We’ll take that time to review your goals and concerns relative to your current financial position. If we can help you, we will recommend options for our services and you can decide if you’d like to proceed.

  • We offer a fee-based investment advisory program. The fee is determined by the value of assets that we manage for you. One of the advantages of fee-based services is that you are paying us for advice - not the latest investment fad. As fiduciaries, this enables us to focus on providing you with objective investment advice related to your unique financial situation.
  • Our flexible program allows us to customize your investment allocation based on your personal needs with the option of moving between mutual funds, exchange traded funds, stocks, bonds, and cash. Also, by using institutional shares provided by mutual fund companies, we are in keeping with the industry’s lower internal expense ratios.
  • Pricing on financial planning is based on your individual needs.
